The statements of an intoxicated person are not to be taken into account.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is derived from this noble verse that the statements of an intoxicated person are not to be taken into account. If a person becomes intoxicated and says, "All my real estate is an endowment for Allah," the endowment is not executed; it is not executed, because he does not know what he is saying. If he has slaves and says in a state of intoxication, "All my slaves are free," none of them are freed. If he has a wife and says, "My wife is divorced," she is not divorced, because he does not know what he is saying. However, regarding the issue of divorce, many scholars said: "She is divorced as a punishment for his intoxication". The stronger position is that she is not divorced, but he is punished for his intoxication as you heard earlier.
