What is your opinion on requesting a car from the company to use for your personal affairs?

The questioner : He says, “O Shaykh (may Allah preserve him), I work in one of the institutions, and I have the ability, with Allah’s permission, to request a car from them to use for my personal movements. It is not given to every employee, but only to the higher ranks and those who have served for a long time. So what is your opinion, should I submit a request for it, or should I leave this matter alone?”

The Shaykh : I see that you should not submit a request for it, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): So if something comes to you without you asking for it or seeking it out, take it; otherwise, do not follow your soul in pursuing it, do not ask for it, and be content with what Allah the Mighty and Majestic has made you self-sufficient with.
