What is your guidance for beginner students of knowledge regarding its virtue and its means?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O Shaykh, may Allah reward you, can you direct us to some tapes on the love of seeking knowledge, its virtue, and how to seek it, as well as books specifically for beginners?

The Shaykh : Yes, as for seeking knowledge, may Allah bless you, there is no need for me to direct you to a tape; I direct you to the words of Allah and the words of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah the Exalted said:
Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?"
[Az-Zumar 39:9]
This is sufficient. And He said, Mighty and Majestic:
Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees
[Al-Mujadila 58:11]
And He said, Exalted is He:
Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge
[Ali 'Imran 3:18]
He made them witnesses. In the hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He upon whom Allah intends to bestow goodness, He confers upon him an insight in religion
Sahih Muslim 1037a
This is sufficient in encouraging the seeking of knowledge. Also, the scholars are the martyrs who are in the third tier of the levels of creation. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said:
And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous
[An-Nisa 4:69]
The martyrs means the scholars, because they testified to the oneness of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, as well as those who were killed in the cause of Allah. And our brother Musa is standing up saying that the time is over, and you also heard the adhan, so Hayya 'ala al-salah. Subhanaka Rabbana wa bihamdika, ashhadu alla ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk. Yes, and what is the last question? Do you allow him to ask...
