It is reported in the hadith that the angels seek forgiveness for the one who prays as long as he remains in his place of prayer. Does the intended meaning of "place of prayer" refer to the location of the prayer or the mosque?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The Shaykh, may Allah reward you. It is mentioned in the hadith:
That the angels seek forgiveness for the one who prays as long as he remains in his place of prayer أن الملائكة تستغفر للمصلي ما دام في مصلاه
Does the intended meaning refer to the place of prayer or the mosque in general?

The Shaykh : It is established in *the two Sahihs*
That when a man performs ablution in his home and perfects his ablution, and leaves his home for the mosque, and nothing prompts him to leave except the prayer, he does not take a step except that Allah raises him thereby a degree and removes from him thereby a sin. So when he enters the mosque and prays, the angels pray for him as long as he remains in his place of prayer, saying: O Allah, pray upon him. O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, have mercy on him.
. Regarding "his place of prayer," does the meaning refer to as long as he is in his prayer, or does it refer to as long as he is in the location of his prayer, meaning that he has finished the prayer and is sitting? Or does it refer to as long as he is in the mosque, which is broader than the location of his prayer? All of these are possible, and we hope to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) that it is the latter, meaning: as long as he is in the mosque, for the grace of Allah is vast.
