The Book of the Prayer of the Traveler and Its Shortening-04a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Harimah ibn Yahya and Muhammad ibn Salama al-Muradi narrated to me, saying: Abdullah ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Yunus informed me from Ibn Shihab, saying: Ibn Abdullah ibn al-Harith narrated to me that his father, Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Nawfal, said:
I asked and strove to find someone among the people who would inform me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed the prayer of the forenoon (Dhuha), but I did not find anyone to narrate that to me, except that Umm Hani bint Abi Talib informed me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came after the day had advanced on the Day of the Conquest. A garment was brought and placed over him, so he performed the full ritual bath (ghusl). Then he stood and prayed eight rak'ahs. I do not know whether his standing in them was longer than his bowing, or his bowing longer than his prostration; all of it was approximately equal. She said: I did not see him pray it before that or after it.
Al-Muradi said: From Yunus, and he did not say: "He informed me."
