The reciter: Adam narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Amr ibn Murrah, who said: I heard al-Hasan ibn Muslim ibn Yunaq narrating, from Safiyyah bint Shaybah from A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her):
That a young woman from the Ansar got married, and that she fell ill and her hair fell out, so they wanted to have it extended, and they asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: May Allah curse the one who extends hair and the one who has it extended أن جارية من الأنصار تزوّجت، وأنها مرضت فتمعّط شعرها، فأرادوا أن يصلوها، فسألوا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلّم فقال: لعن الله الواصلة والمستوصلة
. Ibn Ishaq followed him, from Aban ibn Salih, from al-Hasan, from Safiyyah, from A'ishah.
