Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Ibrahim ibn Dinar, 'Uqbah ibn Makram al-'Ami, and 'Abd ibn Hamid all narrated to me from Abu 'Aasim, and the wording is that of 'Uqbah. He said: Abu 'Aasim narrated to us from Ibn Jurayj, who said: 'Ata' informed me, and 'Ata' said: 'Ubayd ibn 'Umar informed me, and 'Ubayd said: Aisha informed me that she said to the players:
I wish I could see them. She said: So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, and I stood at the door looking between his left arm and his shoulder, and they were playing in the mosque. 'Ata' said: Were they riding horses or were they Abyssinians? He said: And Ibn 'Utaq said to me: Rather, they were Abyssinians.
