The reciter: And Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Numayr narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us, saying: 'Ubayd Allah narrated to us from Ibn Shihab from al-Hasan and 'Abd Allah, the two sons of Muhammad ibn 'Ali, from their father, from 'Ali:
That he heard Ibn 'Abbas being lenient regarding the temporary marriage of women, so he said: "Hold on, O Ibn 'Abbas, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited it on the day of Khaybar, and [he prohibited] the flesh of domestic donkeys." أنه سمع ابن عباس يلين في متعة النساء فقال: مهلا يا ابن عباس فإن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عنها يوم خيبر وعن لحوم الحمر الأنسية
