The reciter: And Abu al-Tahir and Harimah ibn Yahya narrated to me, saying: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Yunus informed me, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Utbah, that 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud said:
You will not narrate to a people a hadith that their minds cannot grasp, except that it will be a trial for some of them. ما أنت بمحدّثٍ قومًا حديثًا لا تبلغه عقولهم ، إلّا كان لبعضهم فتنةً
