The Book of Faith-04a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Yahya ibn Yahya al-Tamimi narrated to us: Abu al-Aws informed us. And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Abu al-Aws narrated to us from Abu Ishaq from Musa ibn Talhah from Abu Ayyub, who said:
A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "Direct me to a deed that I can perform which will bring me closer to Paradise and keep me far from the Fire." He said, "Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish the prayer, give the zakah, and maintain the ties of kinship with your relatives." When the man turned away, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If he holds fast to what he was commanded, he will enter Paradise."
In the narration of Ibn Abi Shaybah, it says, "If he holds fast to it."
