What is the rationale for those who stipulate the requirement of continuity in combining prayers by advancing them, while not stipulating it in combining prayers by delaying them?

The Shaykh : What is the rationale for those who stipulate the requirement of continuity in combining the two prayers by advancing them, while not stipulating it in combining them by delaying them? There is no clear evidence, but they may cite the action of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Muzdalifah. When he arrived at Muzdalifah after the time for 'Isha' had entered, he prayed Maghrib, then every person tethered his camel at his campsite, then he called for the prayer and prayed 'Isha'. As for stipulating continuity in combining prayers by advancing them, he said that combining implies joining, meaning joining the two prayers to each other, and this does not occur with separation. As for Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, continuity is not stipulated, neither in combining by advancing nor in combining by delaying. And regarding the permissibility of combining, meaning that the time, the two times, listen O Fawwaz, they became what? What? They became one time, so one prays at the beginning of the time, or at the end, or in the middle, either separately or continuously. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Resurrection.
