Continuation of the benefits of the hadith: (If one of you passes gas during the prayer...)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Among the benefits of this hadith is also that it is not obligatory to perform istinja' (cleaning oneself) for passing wind, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not command anything other than wudu' (ablution). If someone were to say: Is istinja' a necessary consequence of wudu'? We say: No, istinja' is not a necessary consequence of it, as evidenced by the fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding madhi (pre-seminal fluid):
He washes his penis and performs the ablution يغسل ذكره ويتوضأ
. If someone were to say: Can the remaining conditions of prayer be analogized to this, such that if one is missing while he is praying, he must turn away, just as if wind were to blow away his garment and he remained naked, would he be required to exit the prayer and put on the garment? The answer is: Yes, for there is no difference. If a condition of prayer is missing during the prayer, it is obligatory for the one praying to turn away so that he can fulfill that condition.
