The Shaykh : What did we mention regarding the prayer? What did we say, brothers? Did we not say it is worship? You are a latecomer to the apparent view. If we say it is worship, that means we worship Allah with it. But the well-known view among the scholars—look at what is well-known among the scholars—they say it is words. They say: It is known words and actions, beginning with the takbir and ending with the taslim. We say no, it is worship. If we said "worshipping Allah with a worship," that would be an elongation.
