What is prescribed for the believer when he enters the mosque is to join the first row, then the next

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: The brother M. M. S. from Makkah al-Mukarramah says in his question: I have seen some people when they enter al-Masjid al-Haram and the imam has already begun performing the obligatory prayer, that they do not join the imam in the prayer immediately upon entering the sacred precinct in the nearest place they can reach. Instead, they continue walking to pray in the courtyard of the Haram, even if they miss some of the rak'ahs. Is this action permissible? If it is not, is there any advice for him and those like him? May Allah reward you with good.

A: What is prescribed for the believer when he enters the mosque is to join the first row, then the next, and to fill in the gaps, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded this, even if he misses some of the rak'ahs. This is based on what is established in Sahih al-Bukhari from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the mosque and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was bowing, so he bowed before the row and then entered the row. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him after the prayer:
May Allah increase your eagerness! But do not do it again.زادك الله حرصًا ولا تعد
Sunan Abi Dawud 683Sahih (Al-Albani)
.
It is also established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said to his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) :
Will you not form your rows as the angels form their rows before their Lord?ألا تصفون كما تصف الملائكة عند ربها
Sunan Ibn Majah 992
He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
They complete the first row and they stand close of one another in the lineيتمون الصفوف الأول ويتراصون
Sunan Ibn Majah 992
And there are many hadiths in this meaning. And success is from Allah.
