Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The one on the verge of death, and what is the guidance?

Answer:
When death approaches, he is taught to say, "There is no god but Allah," just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
‘Urge your dying ones to say La ilaha illallah.”لقّنوا موتاكم لا إله إلا الله
Sunan Ibn Majah 1444Sahih (Darussalam)
They should remember Allah at his side, saying, "There is no god but Allah." If he says it, they should stop; they should remain silent.
Q: So he says it, and then they remain silent?
The Shaykh: If he says it, that is sufficient.
Q: Are his eyes closed?
The Shaykh: When the soul departs, when the soul has departed.
