The Ruling on the Eclipse Prayer, Its Beginning, and Its Manner

Question:
When does the lunar eclipse prayer begin?

Answer:
One begins the prayer as soon as the eclipse is seen; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: .
Q: Their saying, "Pray two rak'ahs with two bowings," does this indicate that the second bowing is a continuation of the first bowing?
The Shaykh: There are two bowings in every rak'ah. Every rak'ah contains two bowings, two prostrations, and two recitations, each recitation being with al-Fatihah.
Q: Is there a report that the eclipse is among the sins?
The Shaykh: It came in the authentic hadith that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in his sermon: So zina is among the causes of the anger of Allah , and among the causes of punishments when zina and lewd acts become apparent. We ask Allah for well-being. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For this reason, lewd acts are forbidden, whether they are apparent or hidden.
Q: Is it permissible for him to read from the mushaf?
The Shaykh: He may read from the mushaf if he has it memorized, otherwise he reads from the mushaf.
Q: Is the second bowing obligatory or a recommended practice?
The Shaykh: The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did it this way, so it is obligatory to do as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did. And he said: ?
Q: If a group of people are in the desert and do not know of the Qur'an except al-Fatihah, do they engage only in dhikr?
The Shaykh: They pray, and they recite al-Fatihah, and praise be to Allah.
Q: If he misses the first bowing, does he make up the rak'ah?
The Shaykh: Yes, if he misses the first bowing, he makes up the rak'ah. If the first bowing is missed, the rak'ah is missed.
Q: Some imams rely on media in their prayer...?
The Shaykh: It is necessary to have visual confirmation. The reports of the calculators are not acted upon; rather, the action is based on visual confirmation. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He did not say, "If you hear," or say, "If you know." He said: But not by calculation.
