Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to me from Abu al-Zinad from al-A'raj from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
A commander (of the Muslims) is a shield for them. They fight behind him and they are protected by (him from tyrants and aggressors). If he enjoins fear of God, the Exalted and Glorious, and dispenses justice, there will be a (great) reward for him; and if he enjoins otherwise, it redounds on him.
Sahih Muslim 1841
.

The Shaykh : The point of the hadith is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
and if he enjoins otherwise, it redounds on him.
Sahih Muslim 1841
meaning the sin of what he ordered.
