The Shaykh Al-Albani’s explanation of what happened to the Islamic Front and the Salvation Front in Algeria, and his clarification of the alterations and substitutions made to the answers he gave

The Shaykh: Algeria, before the elections, which you must surely be aware of the results of, and of the injustice and oppression that befell the Islamic Front, the Salvation Front, from the unjust government that rules by other than what Allah has revealed. These answers were misunderstood, if not intentionally so, for indeed actions are by intentions. The news of these answers, which you will hear, spread with some alteration and substitution in some Islamic countries. Therefore, our brother, may Allah reward him with good, was keen to obtain a copy of them so that his brothers, the students of knowledge there in Yemen, could review them. I wanted to seize this opportunity and have you listen to them so that you may be clear about those answers, some of which may have been distorted by some people, either through misunderstanding or ill intent, or both. And because they relate to our current circumstances, in which they claim we live under a democratic rule, which, as you know, is based on holding elections and electing anyone who runs, whether Muslim or disbeliever, whether a righteous Muslim or a wicked Muslim. There were questions regarding the topic of elections, and among these questions were some concerning the election of women for some male candidates!! Now, I hope that Professor Mashhur can manage to let us hear the questions of our Algerian brothers there, and the answers that Allah made easy for me to give to those questions, and may Allah be with him, because the image is not clear and the light is not helpful for reading.
