The ruling on adding "and His blessings" to the closing salam of the prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Adding "and His blessings" after the salam, once the prayer is completed?

Answer:
It appears in some narrations, but the most authentic of them is:
and the mercy of Allahورحمة الله
which is the practice currently followed, avoiding the anomalous and differing reports... The addition of "and His blessings" appears in some narrations, but leaving it out is preferable. Acting in accordance with what the Muslims are currently doing is preferable: (Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah), as in the hadith of Jabir ibn Samurah: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he said the salam, would say: Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
Q: Is the addition authentic?
The Shaykh: A group of scholars of knowledge authenticated it, and some of them said it is anomalous and an addition. However, leaving it out is preferable; because the practice is contrary to it; in order to avoid the disagreement.
