The Ruling on Dealing with the Shi'ah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I work as a teacher, and we have teachers from the Shi'ah. I work with them. I want your advice on how to deal with them?
Answer:
You should advise them and guide them to good, and teach them that the Rafidah is not permissible, and that it is obligatory to love 'Ali and be pleased with him, but without exaggeration. It is not said that he knows the unseen, nor that he is infallible, nor is he called upon alongside Allah, nor is he called for aid. The same applies to al-Hasan, al-Husayn, Ja'far al-Sadiq, and others. Teach them that this is what is obligatory. Advise them, and if they persist in religious innovation, you must boycott them. Even if they are with you in your work, boycott them, do not return their greeting, and do not initiate the greeting to them.
As for if they do not display their innovation and agree with you on the outward appearance, their ruling is the ruling of the hypocrites. There is no harm in dealing with them as you deal with hypocrites, just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) dealt with the hypocrites in Madinah. Whoever displays Islam and refrains from evil is dealt with as a Muslim, and his inner state is left to Allah.
