Is the disbeliever rewarded for doing good in this world?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
May Allah reward you. His saying, the Exalted:
And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَى مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاء مَّنثُورًا...
[Al-Furqan 25:23]

Answer:
This is in the Hereafter
scattered dustهَبَاء مَّنثُورًا
in the Hereafter.
As for in this world: he is rewarded in this world for what Allah wills regarding his deeds, whether it is maintaining family ties, being dutiful to his parents, honoring a guest, freeing slaves, or giving charity to the poor. No deed is lost with Allah; he is rewarded for it in this world.
Q: If the disbeliever performs these good deeds without a good intention...?
The Shaykh: It appears—and Allah knows best—that he performs them for Allah. This statement applies to the one who is in Allah; because a disbeliever may do things for Allah, thinking that he is benefiting, thinking that he is guided, as He said (peace and blessings be upon him):
Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided.إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ
[Al-A'raf: 30]. He may do them hoping for what is with Allah in terms of recompense, generosity, and nobility; so he is rewarded as He wills.
As for the heedless one who did not intend Allah in anything, but only acts according to his nature and his desire; this is not included in this. He may not be rewarded for anything.
