The ruling on relying on Al-Albani's authentication and weakening of hadiths

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A listener (A. F. G.) sent a message asking and saying: What is your opinion, Your Eminence, on relying on what Al-Albani has authenticated?

Answer:
The Shaykh: Muhammad Nasir al-Albani, Nasir al-Din al-Albani, is among the best of people. He is one of the scholars known for his uprightness, his sound creed, and his diligence in authenticating hadiths and explaining their status. He is a pillar in this field, but he is not infallible. He may make a mistake in authenticating some hadiths or weakening them, just like other scholars. Every scholar, from the past and the present, has some errors.
Therefore, it is obligatory for the student of knowledge to look into what he has authenticated, graded as good, or weakened. If the student is a person of knowledge, a specialist who knows hadith, and he looks into their chains and their narrators, and he finds that what the Shaykh said is correct, then praise be to Allah. Otherwise, he should rely on the evidence that appears to him, following the methods that the scholars have established in this field, because the scholars have laid down rules for authenticating and weakening hadiths. As for those who are not scholars, he is a pillar in authentication and weakening; because he is a person of knowledge and a specialist in this matter, and he has studied this for a long time and many years. We ask Allah for success for us and for him, and a good ending. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
