The ruling on the exposure of the thigh in prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it from the Sunnah to recite Surat al-Kahf on Friday? And is the thigh an awrah (the part of the body that must be covered)?

Answer:
There are some hadiths regarding the recitation of al-Kahf on Friday that contain weakness, but they support one another, and Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) did so. So if one recites it on Friday, it is good — Surat al-Kahf.
As for the thigh, it is an awrah (the part of the body that must be covered) according to the stronger position held by most scholars, and he must cover it in prayer and in the presence of people as well.
