Ruling on saying: There is no word in the universe except Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a question from the brother (S. A. Z. D.) from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah. He thanks the shaykhs in this message for what they present in their programs, and he is very pleased by it. We also thank the shaykhs for their many contributions to the radio programs and their response to our repeated requests. The questioner suggests presenting what is contained in the book *Tawhid* by Muhammad Qutb. We say, O brother, this is not the place for *Nur 'ala al-Darb*; rather, there are other programs that deal with this aspect. As for your inquiry about the phrase that appeared on the first page of the book, which is: (There is no word in the universe except Allah), and you ask if there is anything objectionable in this phrase? We, in turn, present it to His Eminence Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz.
The Shaykh: What is its wording?
The presenter: He says: There is no word in the universe except Allah. Is there anything objectionable in it?
Answer: I do not recall this phrase in the book of Shaykh Muhammad Qutb; I do not remember it now. This phrase, in its absolute form, is questionable. "There is no word in the universe except Allah"—this is not correct in its absolute form. If the phrase is exactly like this, it is an incorrect statement; because Allah (Mighty and Majestic) exists, and there are created beings that He (Glorified and Exalted is He) has created, existing in the universe; here is the sky, here is the earth, here are seas, here are mountains, here are rivers, and here are animals, including the children of Adam and others, all of which exist in the universe. But perhaps the phrase is not this one, or: "There is no creator of the universe except Allah," or: "There is no originator of the universe except Allah," or something similar to these phrases. This is correct. Allah is the Creator of everything, (Glorified and Exalted is He). If the phrase is that there is no creator except Allah, this is correct. Allah says, (Mighty and Majestic):
Allah is the Creator of all thingsاللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
[Al-Zumar: 62] He is the Creator , and there is no creator other than Him (Mighty and Majestic). So He is the originator of all things. As for "There is no [word] in the universe except Allah," this is an unsound phrase. The book must be reviewed, if Allah wills. We will review it and re-examine this in another episode, if Allah wills. Yes.
