The ruling on one who organizes and attends the celebration of the Prophet's birthday

This message reached us from Makkah al-Mukarramah, and the sender is Abdullah Ibrahim Bukhari. He says in his message: Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings. After that, I request an answer to some religious questions and their presentation to His Eminence Shaykh Abdullah ibn Baz, which are:
First question: What is the ruling on the Prophet's birthday celebration? What is the ruling on one who attends it? And will its doer be punished if he dies while in this state?
Answer: There is nothing in the Shari'ah indicating the celebration of the birthday, neither the birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) nor any other. What we know from the pure Shari'ah, and what the meticulous scholars have established, is that celebrating birthdays is a religious innovation (bid'ah), and there is no doubt about that. This is because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the most sincere of people and the most knowledgeable of them regarding the Shari'ah of Allah, and who is the one conveying from Allah, did not celebrate his own birthday (peace and blessings be upon him), nor did his Companions, neither the Rightly Guided Caliphs nor anyone else. If it had been a truth, a good thing, and a Sunnah, they would have hastened to it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not have left it; he would have informed his Ummah of it and done it himself, and his Companions and Caliphs (may Allah be pleased with them) would have done it. Since they left it, we know with certainty that it is not from the Shari'ah. Likewise, the best of generations did not do it. Thus, it is clear that it is a religious innovation (bid'ah). And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1718a And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 1718b in other hadiths indicating this. By this, it is known that these celebrations of the Prophet's birthday in Rabi' al-Awwal or in any other time, and likewise the celebrations of other birthdays such as al-Badawi, al-Husayn, and others, are all among the reprehensible religious innovations (bid'ah) that the people of Islam must abandon.
And Allah has compensated them with two great festivals: 'Id al-Fitr and 'Id al-Adha. In them is sufficiency against inventing reprehensible, innovative festivals and celebrations. And the love of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not achieved through birthdays and their establishment. Rather, his love (peace and blessings be upon him) necessitates following him, adhering to his Shari'ah, defending it, calling to it, and being upright upon it. This is the love: [Al-Imran: 31]. So the love of Allah and His Messenger is not through birthdays or religious innovations (bid'ah), but the love of Allah and His Messenger is through obeying Allah and His Messenger, and being upright upon the Shari'ah of Allah, through jihad in the path of Allah, through calling to the Sunnah of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), honoring it, defending it, and disapproving of whoever contradicts it. This is how the love of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is realized. It is also realized by emulating him in his words and deeds, following his methodology (peace and blessings be upon him), and calling to that.
This is the sincere love that is indicated by the action in accordance with the Shari'ah, and the action that conforms to his Shari'ah.
As for whether he will be punished or not, that is another matter. That is up to Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). Religious innovations (bid'ah) and sins are among the causes of punishment. But a person may be punished for his sin, or Allah may pardon him, either due to his ignorance, or because he followed someone who did it thinking that he was correct, or because of good deeds he performed that became a cause for Allah's pardon, or because of the intercession of the intercessors, whether prophets, believers, or the foremost in faith. So the result is that sins and religious innovations (bid'ah) are among the causes of punishment, and their doer is under the will of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He), provided that his innovation is not one that entails disbelief. But if the innovation contains major shirk, then its doer is eternally in the Fire, we seek refuge in Allah. But if the innovation does not contain major shirk, but is rather branches that contradict the Shari'ah, such as innovative prayers or innovative celebrations that do not contain shirk, then this is under the will of Allah, like sins. Yes.
