The ruling on the follower shaking his head when he hears a mistake from the imam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
It is said that some of the followers shake their heads when they hear a mistake from the imam. Is that permissible or not? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good?
Answer: I do not know of any basis for this; I do not know of any basis for shaking the head at a mistake. However, it does not invalidate the prayer. It is a slight distraction, a slight distraction that does not invalidate the prayer, but it is not appropriate; it is disliked. Slight distraction is disliked in the prayer except out of necessity. Such a person should recite for him when he makes a mistake, alerting him and reciting for him. As for shaking the head, there is no need for it. Rather, he should recite the verse in which he made a mistake, or the one before it, or the one after it, so that the reciter becomes aware. There is no need for shaking the head, nor for other actions. Rather, reciting for him is sufficient in this, meaning alerting him by recitation so that the imam becomes aware of what he made a mistake in.
