The questioner : ... .
The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner: This and the like of it.
The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner: One who has studied *The Shadows* and all his books, and justice, and everything.
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah.
The questioner: He knew him completely, may Allah bless you.
The Shaykh : And may He reward you.
The questioner: That it is obligatory for me to do what I see and what has become apparent to me.
The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner: In creed and in other matters, as advice to Allah and to the Muslims.
The Shaykh: This is obligatory, without doubt.
The questioner: Yes, that is because the youth of the Ummah now, in the East and the West, from the youth of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Saruriyyah, have made the methodology of Sayyid Qutb a substitute for the Salafi methodology. They say that "La ilaha illa Allah" is *hakimiyyah* (sovereignty), and that "La ilaha illa Allah" is the soundness of the great Saruriyyah, that no one has interpreted "La ilaha illa Allah" like Sayyid Qutb, and by the issue of *rububiyyah* (lordship), and by *hakimiyyah*, and by arrogance, and by the rest of the meanings of *rububiyyah*, and then by *wahdat al-wujud* (the oneness of existence), which you condemn him for.
The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner: Then socialism, then the claim that the Qur'an is created, then disparaging the prophetic miracles, then disparaging the reports of *ahad* (single narrators), indeed even the *mutawatir* (mass-transmitted) ones, which he does not accept in creed. So I saw an overwhelming evil that had to be resisted and clarified, may Allah bless you.
The Shaykh: May Allah reward you with good and benefit you with your writings.
The questioner: May Allah reward you with good.
The Shaykh: And I hope that it will be made easy for me to benefit from reading them and looking into them.
The questioner: And O my Shaykh.
The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner: By Allah, I defend you more than I defend myself, and the Lord of the heavens and the earth.
The Shaykh : May Allah reward you with good and bless you.
The questioner: And by Allah, I have been tested from various sides because of you, politically and otherwise, and Allah knows.
The Shaykh: We ask Allah for assistance.
The questioner: We consider you the Imam of the Salafiyyah.
The Shaykh: May Allah bless you, may Allah preserve you. This is a good opinion of you, and I am nothing but a student of knowledge, and we seek the truth wherever it is.
The questioner: O Shaykh, may Allah bless you, only those who possess it know its value.
The Shaykh: This is true, and may Allah reward you with good and bless you.
The questioner : ... .
The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner: They looked into your books and knew the Salafi methodology, and uprightness, and holding fast to the Book and the Sunnah, and following, and so on, through your books.
The Shaykh: That is a favor from Allah; if there is anything of this, it is all a favor from Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He).
The questioner : May Allah bless you.
The Shaykh :[An-Nahl 16:53] .
The questioner: I ask Allah to bless your life.
The Shaykh: May Allah preserve you, my brother, and keep you safe, and benefit the Ummah through you as well.
The questioner : May Allah bless you.
The Shaykh : May Allah bless you.
The questioner: We cannot do without your concern for the Salafi da'wah and for its people, who are strangers now.
The Shaykh: We still live and die upon it.
The questioner : If Allah wills.
The Shaykh: And upon it we live, and upon it we die, if Allah wills.
The questioner: I hope from you, specifically, that you read this book, especially what relates to *takfir* (declaring someone a disbeliever) and the creation of the Qur'an... I hope, O my Shaykh.
The Shaykh: We ask Allah to make it easy for me to do so.
The questioner: Then you say the word of truth, O Shaykh. These people take from you and from Shaykh Ibn Baz, meaning words they direct to corrupt the youth.
The Shaykh: This, may Allah bless you, is not something you should pay much attention to, O Doctor.
The questioner: Huh?
The Shaykh: I say this is not something you should pay much attention to, because the people of falsehood, from of old, take from the words of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), from which falsehood does not come from before or behind, what they use to support their disbelief and misguidance. So it is no surprise that they take from me and from those greater than me... such and such. I am not their agent.
The questioner: I do not mean, O Shaykh, the superstitious ones.
The Shaykh: I know who you mean.
The questioner: They come to you wearing the clothing of the Salafiyyah.
The Shaykh: I know who you mean, may Allah bless you, I mean the one you mean.
The questioner : Hmm.
The Shaykh: I know what you mean, and I mean with you the one you mean.
The questioner : May Allah reward you.
The Shaykh: And in you, if Allah wills.
The Shaykh: Yes.
