The Meaning of the Narrator’s Statement: (Ahmad or Ibn Majah narrated it uniquely)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Some hadith narrators report hadiths in which they state at the end: a phrase meaning: Ahmad narrated it uniquely, or Ibn Majah narrated it uniquely. What is the meaning of this statement?

Answer:
Ibn Kathir says this often in his tafsir. When he says: Ahmad narrated it uniquely, he means: other than the six, meaning: other than al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasa'i, and Ibn Majah. When he says: al-Bukhari narrated it uniquely, he means: other than the remaining six of the seven. When he says: Ibn Majah narrated it uniquely, he means: other than the remaining six of the seven. When he says: al-Nasa'i narrated it uniquely, likewise, he means: other than the remaining six of the seven mentioned. Yes.
