What is the ruling on stopping at the ends of verses when they are connected to one another?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : You said in the description of prayer that it is a recommended practice (sunnah) to stop at the ends of verses, even if the verse is connected to the one following it.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : But I heard you on a tape, in your conversation with Murad, saying that if it is connected to what follows, one should not stop at it.

The Shaykh : You are mistaken.

The questioner : Yes?

The Shaykh : You are mistaken.

The questioner : You gave him an example, meaning:
Woe to those who prayوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ
until.

The Shaykh : You are mistaken.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : You are mistaken.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, please clarify this for us.

The Shaykh
Woe to those who pray وَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ
you stop.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Then you begin the verse that follows it,
[But] who are heedless of their prayer - الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
[Al-Ma'un 107:5]
Allah knows best.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : So, Allah knows best, you heard it incorrectly, so listen to it again.

The questioner : The tape?

The Shaykh : The recording, yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And beware of that.
