The ruling on reciting Ayat al-Kursi after prayer and wiping the face after supplication

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
His final question: What is the ruling on reciting Ayat al-Kursi after every prayer, and likewise wiping the face after finishing supplication?

Answer:
Reciting Ayat al-Kursi after every prayer is a recommended practice (sunnah). Several hadiths have been reported regarding it, so it is recommended for the believer to recite it after the prayer, after the taslim, and after the dhikr. He should recite it to himself; this is the best.
As for wiping the face with the hands, scholars have differed on this, and weak hadiths have been reported regarding it. The best is to leave it, but if one wipes, there is no blame on him. This is because some scholars considered it to be good for other reasons (hasan li ghayrihi) and permitted the wiping, so the matter is broad in this regard.
However, the many authentic hadiths indicate that leaving it is better. This is because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not wipe when he made supplication for rain. No one has reported from him that he wiped with his hands after finishing the supplication for rain, while the people were hearing him and watching him, (peace and blessings be upon him).
Likewise, we do not know in the authentic hadiths that he (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped. However, it is mentioned in hadiths that contain weakness that he wiped. Al-Hafiz (may Allah have mercy on him) Ibn Hajar said in al-Bulugh: The sum total of them indicates that it is a good hadith, meaning: good for other reasons (hasan li ghayrihi). Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
