Can the one who is unable to prostrate do so on something elevated?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
There is an elderly man who suffers from hemiplegia. He strives to pray in the mosque with the congregation. He sits on a chair and places some objects in front of him that are elevated above the ground so that his face can touch them during prostration. Is this valid? Or is it sufficient for the prostration to be a lowering of the head from the bowing, without the obligation of touching the face?

Answer:
He only needs to indicate with his head, as mentioned in the hadith, a report traced to the Prophet and one stopping at a Companion: "Jabir saw a man praying on a cushion, so he ordered him to throw the cushion away and to indicate with his bowing and prostration." There is no need for a cushion to elevate him; rather, he prostrates in the air, lowering his prostration below his bowing, and that is sufficient, and praise be to Allah.
But if he prostrates on something he has raised, if he prostrates on it, it does no harm; there is no blame on him. However, the best is to do it by indicating with the head. If prostrating is difficult for him, he prostrates in the air... he lowers it below the bowing. This is the recommended practice for one who is unable to prostrate on the ground. There is no need for a cushion, a chair, or anything to prostrate on. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.
