The ruling on a man leading his mahram relatives in prayer and where they should stand if he leads them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He asks another question, saying: Does a man lead his wife and his mahram relatives in prayer? And where should the imam stand if there is only one woman? Is she beside him or behind him?

Answer:
It is permissible for him to lead them if, for example, he missed the prayer, or if he is ill, or in voluntary prayer he leads them. If there are two or three, or more, they stand in rows behind him. If there is only one, she also stands behind him. They do not stand in a row with him, nor to his right, nor to his left. Even if it is only one woman, even if it is his wife, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that their rows be behind the men. When he prayed one day in the house of Anas with Anas and the orphan, the woman prayed behind them. Umm Sulaym prayed behind everyone, and she was alone, and she did not stand in a row with her son Anas and her grandson the orphan.
So the point is: the position of the woman is behind the men, even if she is alone. She stands behind the man, even if he is her husband or her brother. She does not stand to his right or to his left. As for the man, he stands to the right of the imam if he is alone, and if there are two or more men, they stand behind the imam.
As for the women, they stand behind them in all cases. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
