The ruling on supplicating with the supplications found in the Qur'an during prostration

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
You say: I heard that it is not permissible to recite the Qur'an during prostration, so is it permissible to recite the supplications found in the Qur'an, for example:
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
[al-Baqarah:201]?

Answer:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited reciting the Qur'an during bowing and prostration, but if a person supplicates with the Qur'anic supplications without the intention of reciting, there is no harm, such as the verse the questioner mentioned:
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
[al-Baqarah:201] and such as His saying, the Exalted:
[Who say], "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
[Al Imran:8]. There is no harm in that with the intention of supplication, yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
