Question:
The second question in this letter, which was sent by a listener who did not mention his name, says: We ask for an explanation of the noble verse in the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Qasas: 88]?
Answer:
In accordance with their apparent meaning, [al-Qasas:88], every person will die, every person will die except the Lord (Exalted and Majestic is He), for He is the Ever-Living who does not die, as He, the Exalted, said: [al-Furqan:58]. He, the Exalted, is the Everlasting, the Permanent, who does not die (Exalted and Majestic is He). As for the children of Adam and all the angels, they all die, then Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) will resurrect them on the Day of Resurrection and reward them for their deeds. [Al Imran:185] and [al-Qasas:88]. And He, (Exalted and Majestic is He), says: [al-Rahman:27] [Ar-Rahman 55:26] And the Face of your Lord will remain, Possessor of Majesty and Honor [al-Rahman:26-27]. He, the Exalted, is the Ever-Living who does not die. Yes.
