The Shaykh’s discussion regarding those who deviate from the methodology of the righteous predecessors in entering parliaments.

The Shaykh : They contradict their call in conduct and practice. Perhaps you know that some of these people who claim affiliation with the call of the righteous predecessors permit Muslims to enter parliaments that rule by other than what Allah has revealed. Is this the way of the believers? Far be it from Allah. Therefore, they say to us, “We are upon the methodology of the righteous predecessors,” but they contradict the methodology of the righteous predecessors. Especially since they know, as we know, that the head of the righteous predecessors is our Prophet, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). So what was the call of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)? Was it by supporting the polytheists, compromising with them, and entering into their affairs with some submission to their traditions or customs? Or was it based on the saying of He (Blessed and Exalted is He): ? Those who permit entering parliaments with the good intention, as they claim, of overthrowing the system of governance, have not followed the path of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), nor have they followed the path of the believers. This is the detail and the summary of the matter. We must not wrong people, nor argue with them, nor compromise with them, but rather we should speak the word of truth, if Allah wills, so that no one can blame us in the matter of Allah. Now, do you have anything else? Because in a few minutes, if Allah wills, we will depart.
