What is the ruling on wearing trousers and lying at the borders while traveling out of fear of persecution and interrogation by intelligence agencies in Islamic and non-Muslim countries?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes?
The student : In this travel process within Islamic countries, we face many problems with intelligence agencies, customs, and so on. Sometimes we are forced to lie. Also, regarding the borders, for example, wearing trousers: if someone comes from Pakistan, you know, they look at the Kuwaiti youth, so wearing trousers and lying—what is the call you are making?

The Shaykh : Of course, you mean wearing trousers is changing your Muslim attire?
The student : No, I do not shave my beard, but I only wear trousers.

The Shaykh : I know, do you take off the shirt?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : And wear the trousers, and over them the jacket.
The student : The jacket, but what is it?

The Shaykh : And the jacket, Allah is the Greatest! Do you see a disbeliever coming to Islamic countries, where every country has its own attire and appearance, and he adorns himself with the attire of that country?
The student : Never, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : And why has the matter reversed? Our Lord says:
And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers وَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
[Al-Munafiqun 63:8]
Why are the believers now humiliated? If one of them wants to enter the lands of the disbelievers, he adorns himself with their attire! And the disbeliever, when he enters the lands of Islam, does not adorn himself with their attire!
The student : Regarding the requirements, O Shaykh, in some Muslim countries, the beard is fought against more than in the lands of disbelief.

The Shaykh : This is more problematic, this is more problematic.
The student : In some countries, it might be that...

The Shaykh : This is more problematic.
The student : In Islamic countries, if we do not wear this thing or lie to the intelligence agencies, we simply cannot...

The Shaykh : Please, be generous.
The student : May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh. In some countries, whether in... Subhan Allah, in some of them, they meet us with kindness, and it is difficult if...

The Shaykh : Did you understand my answer, or are you repeating your question?
The student : No, I am clarifying, it is not out of repetition.

The Shaykh : And I told you: this is more problematic. Did you understand my answer?
The student : No, by Allah.

The Shaykh : This is it, I see you did not understand me. If you are going to an Islamic country and you change your Islamic attire, and you change what is it that compels you to change your attire?!
The student : I mean, regarding the intelligence agencies.
The student : The interrogation, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh: All right.
The student : It might be the reception, meaning they might return from the airport to the country.

The Shaykh : Return you!
The student : I mean, you intend to... it is good, you collect donations...

The Shaykh : And what did these donations benefit?
The student : ... .

The Shaykh : What did they benefit? In the end, what did they benefit? Look, you are going back and retreating. My brother, always keep the noble verse before your eyes:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect. وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا * وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ
[At-Talaq 65:2-3]
And keep before your eyes that the principle which says "the end justifies the means" is not an Islamic principle; this is a Jewish Zionist principle, and I see the Muslims walking with this principle.
