What is the reward for visiting the sick?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says in his final question: What is the reward from Allah in visiting the sick? And if he speaks to him on the telephone, is that sufficient?

Answer:
The Sunnah is to visit the sick. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded the visiting of the sick. He (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded the visiting of the sick, and he said:
Visit the sick, feed the hungry, and (arrange for the) release of the captive.عودوا المريض، وأطعموا الجائع، وفكوا العاني
Riyad as-Salihin 897
.
Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us with seven things... -he mentioned among them:- visiting the sick." So the Sunnah is to visit the sick. If he speaks to him on the telephone, there is merit in it, but it is not like the one who visits him; because visiting him and going to his house is better. However, speaking to him on the telephone is, in any case, a good thing and has merit.

The presenter: May Allah preserve you.
