The reason camel meat invalidates the ablution

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Why does eating camel meat invalidate the ablution?

Answer:
Allah knows best. It is well known among most jurists that it is a devotional act (ta'abbudi) and that the wisdom and the operative cause are not known. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has prescribed for us to perform ablution from camel meat, and Allah knows the wisdom and the operative cause in that. Some scholars have said that it was created from the jinn, and that it has a repulsive nature similar to the state of the jinn when they are roused, and that this is so that its meat causes some hardness and some devilishness, and that ablution extinguishes that. But this is not a clear matter, and I do not know of clear evidence for it. The most likely view is what the majority said, that it is a devotional act, and Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, is the most knowledgeable about the wisdom and the operative cause in that.
And the believer must obey the command of Allah and His Messenger even if he does not know the wisdom. Just as we pray the midday prayer four units in its proper time, and the afternoon prayer four units, and the night prayer four units, and the sunset prayer three units, and the dawn prayer two units, and we do not have certain knowledge of the wisdom in making them four—namely, the midday, afternoon, and night prayers—and three for the sunset prayer and two for the dawn prayer. It is possible that Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), if He willed, would make the midday prayer eight units, or seven, or six, and likewise the afternoon and night prayers. And it is possible that the sunset prayer would be five units instead of three... and so on. To Allah belongs the perfect wisdom in what He has made obligatory and specified, Exalted and Majestic is He.
And likewise, He made Ramadan obligatory in one month, even though the general cause is to lighten the burden on the community. But we do not know the specific wisdom in making Ramadan obligatory rather than the other months, and in making it a complete month. If our Lord had willed, He would have made it fifteen days or twenty days. To Allah belongs the perfect wisdom in singling out this month. And so it is with many things of worship whose cause and wisdom we do not know. Yes.
