Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: {And you were on the brink of a pit...}

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Your Eminence is asked to explain the saying of the Truthful One (Blessed and Exalted is He): I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan:
And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from itوَكُنْتُمْ عَلَى شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ فَأَنْقَذَكُمْ مِنْهَا
[Al-Imran: 103].

Answer:
Whoever was in a state of disbelief in Allah, then repented, is on the brink of a pit of the Fire. If he was a disbeliever in any type of disbelief, whether by worshipping idols and statues, or by worshipping the awliya (close friends of Allah) and the prophets, or by sinning with any of the sins, he is on the brink of a pit of the Fire, on the brink of a pit of the Fire. When he dies, he will enter it. We ask Allah for safety.
But if Allah grants him the favor of repentance, Allah has saved him. The Companions, whom Allah guided to Islam, were in this state, on the brink of a pit of the Fire because of their disbelief. When Allah guided them to Islam and they followed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Allah saved them. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
