The Shaykh's comment on the story of Hasan Abu Shuqra with the Jews when they asked him about Salafism and he answered them, and one of them said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student : O Shaykh, Hasan Abu Shuqra told me. He was one of the Salafi callers from Khan Younis in Palestine, and the Jews expelled him from Palestine. He told me before he was expelled that the governor of the region, who is a Jew, summoned him and said, "O Shaykh Hasan, there are important people in the state gathered at my place who want to meet you, but I want you to answer them honestly." He said, "If Allah wills, we do not lie." And when he entered, he says he was struck with fear; he found senior officers.

The Shaykh: Allahu Akbar.
The student : And people... and ministers. He says they sat down and asked me about Salafism, this new call that has appeared.

The Shaykh: Allahu Akbar.
The student : And he said to me, "We are afraid to say we are Salafis; we say we are upon the actions of the Companions." He says if this is established against us, the person is imprisoned. So in their speech, at the end of the discussion... one of them said to me: "Hold on to any call. You have the Muslim Brotherhood; call with their call. You have the Tabligh; call with their call. But this Salafism that will return people to what Abu Bakr and 'Umar were upon—literally, by Allah, this is what he said—Abu Bakr and 'Umar, we will not allow you this."
The student : Who is the one who says this?
The student : This is one of the senior officers in the Israeli army.

The Shaykh : This is the truth that the disbelievers have finally come to know.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : And so, wait and be patient, O Salafis. History repeats itself.
So blessed are the strangers فطوبى للغرباء
Who are the strangers? They are those who repair what people have corrupted of the Sunnah... Who are the strangers?
They are a few sincere people among many people, and those who disobey them are more than those who obey them هم ناس قليلون صادقون ، بين ناس كثيرين ، مَن يعصيهم أكثر ممَّن يطيعهم
Look at this description, and that description. Do we apply it to the Muslim Brotherhood?
The student: No.

The Shaykh : No.
The student : No, by Allah.

The Shaykh : Do we apply it to the Tahrir Party? No.
The student : No, by Allah.

The Shaykh : Do we apply it to the Tabligh group? A sheep that is driven and does not know where it is being driven.
