Ruling on a person in a state of major ritual impurity or a menstruating woman touching books containing verses of the Qur'an

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a message received by the program from the listener Umm Abdullah from Riyadh. In her message, and in her first question, she says: Is it permissible for a woman who is menstruating or in a state of major ritual impurity to touch a book that contains verses of the Qur'an and Prophetic hadiths? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
Answer: Yes, there is nothing wrong with that. There is nothing wrong for a woman to touch a book that contains verses or hadiths, such as Sahih al-Bukhari, or other books, such as Zad al-Ma'ad by Ibn al-Qayyim, or Islamic books that contain verses and hadiths, and likewise books of tafsir, such as the tafsir of Ibn Kathir and others. There is no blame on a woman in a state of major ritual impurity or a man in a state of major ritual impurity touching them, and likewise a menstruating woman or a woman with post-natal bleeding; there is no blame in that. What is forbidden is the Qur'an itself; a woman in a state of major ritual impurity, a menstruating woman, or a person in a state of minor ritual impurity must not touch the Qur'an except in a state of ritual purity. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
