The student’s account of a man who resorted to a forbidden ruse to meet Shaykh Al-Albani

The questioner : A man said, “By Allah, we are in Jordan, and”The Shaykh : “Al-Albani is in Jordan, and we cannot see him. It is not reasonable. What is the date? What will he say? And so on. So I said to one of the brothers, ‘By Allah, what is the way?’ He said, ‘By Allah, I have an idea.’”

The Shaykh : “It is a bit difficult now, he said. ‘By Allah, an idea came to my mind.’ He asked him, ‘What is it?’ He said, ‘We will knock on the door.’”The Shaykh : “He will ask, ‘Who is it?’ We will say, ‘The police.’ When he opens the door, I will come in, shake his hand, and embrace him. I will say to him, ‘By Allah, I did not lie; I am truly a police officer. I want to greet him.’”
The student : “A good idea.”
Another student: I said to him, “This is causing fear. This is causing fear.”
Another student: Is it permissible?
The student : It is not permissible to cause fear like this.
