Is there zakah in trade goods?

The Shaykh: That trade goods do not have this type of zakah; rather, one gives from the goods themselves to the poor and the needy, without specifying a percentage, but only what satisfies his own need. This is the answer to your question. There are two opinions, and you have learned the first one. What did you do? May Allah guide you. Why, my brother, do you extend your hand?
