Selling gold on installment

Is it permissible for us to sell gold on installment, or is this contrary to the Sunnah?

Answer: If you sell gold for something other than gold, or for something other than silver, and you sell it for a commodity, such as food, fabrics, cars, or the like, then deferring payment is permissible in this case. However, if you sell gold for gold, two conditions are necessary: the exchange must take place in the meeting, and the amounts must be equal. As for selling gold for silver, or silver for gold, one condition is obligatory, which is that the exchange must take place in the meeting, and difference in amount is permissible. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “When these categories differ, sell as you wish, provided it is hand to hand.” Sell as you wish, meaning equal or unequal, provided it is hand to hand, meaning the exchange takes place in the meeting and you do not separate with anything between you.
