The second question of Fatwa No. ( 19611 )
Q2: A man bought an 'Id al-Adha sacrifice, and after it was slaughtered and skinned
it was found to have abscesses, and the abscesses were not cut by anything, and they did not bleed. Does his sacrifice suffice, or does he have to offer another? The man did not attend the entire slaughter; he only saw it when it was being slaughtered, then he left for his work, trimmed his nails, and shaved his head at work, and he did not know about the abscesses. Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
Q2: The abscess present in this sacrificial animal is a type of disease. As long as it was not obvious to you at the time of purchase and did not affect its health, it is sufficient, if Allah wills. This is not a defect that prevents sufficiency; rather, the defect that makes it insufficient is if it is sick with an obvious illness and the abscess has spoiled much of its meat. This is based on the hadith of al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us and said:Sunan al-Bayhaqi 17:90 It was narrated by Abu Dawud and al-Nasa'i , and al-Tirmidhi narrated something similar and graded it authentic. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Four things are not permissible in sacrifices: the one whose blindness is obvious, the one whose illness is obvious, the one whose lameness is obvious, and the one that is emaciated such that it has no marrow
أربع لا تجوز في الأضاحي: العوراء البين عورها، والمريضة البين مرضها، والعرجاء البين ظلعها، والعجفاء التي لا تنقي
