Hanging an ID card during prayer that contains a picture

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
All praise is due to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet. Having reviewed the matter sent to His Eminence the Grand Mufti from His Excellency the Acting Director General of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Armed Forces, and referred to the Committee by the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars under number (5969) and dated 28/10/1425 AH, His Excellency asked a question the text of which is as follows: Referring to letter number (3/30/2874) dated 16/10/1425 AH, sent by the Director of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Land Forces, which included a question about carrying an ID card that has a photograph and information about its holder, where the nature of the work requires it to be hung on the chest throughout working hours, including the time of performing prayer. Is it permissible to hang this card during the performance of prayer, or to remove it during prayer on the basis that it contains a picture? We ask your Eminence
to answer their question.

After studying the inquiry, the Committee answered that if it is possible to conceal it by putting it in his pocket or the like, that is preferable.
