Q1: Is the hour preceding the Fajr prayer considered part of the last third of the night?
Q1: The hour preceding the appearance of the second dawn, which is estimated at sixty minutes in our time, is part of the last third of the night and is considered the final hour of the last third of the night; for the night begins from the setting of the sun to the appearance of the second dawn, and it is established that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) descends to the lowest heaven when the last third of the night remains. al-Bukhari narrated in (his Sahih, vol. 2, p. 47) from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 1315Sahih (Al-Albani) Therefore, it is fitting for every Muslim man and woman to seize the blessed hours and the hours in which supplication is answered, so that they may provision themselves with righteous deeds and supplicate for whatever they desire from matters of religion and worldly life. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.

Our Lord who is blessed and exalted descends every night to the lowest heaven when the last one-third of the night remains, and says: Who supplicated Me so that I may answer him ? Who asks of Me so that I may give to him ? Who asks My forgiveness so that I may forgive him ?
ينزل ربنا تبارك وتعالى كل ليلة إلى سماء الدنيا حين يبقى ثلث الليل الآخر فيقول: من يدعوني فأستجيب له، من يسألني فأعطيه، من يستغفرني فأغفر له
