They sat under the bridge of 'Arafah until 'Asr, then they entered 'Arafah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: O our Shaykh, more than twenty-five years ago I performed Hajj with my father and his wife (my mother through breastfeeding), along with many other pilgrims, men and women. We hired a lorry from al-Namas to there. When we ascended from Mina on the morning of the Day of 'Arafah, we arrived at 'Arafah late because the driver was controlling us, and we did not want to clash with him. In those situations, he took us around several streets in 'Arafat, and finally stopped near the bridge of 'Aranah and said: "Get off here." We were a group and could not find a place to get off, and the sun was scorching, which forced us to get off under the bridge of 'Aranah until after the 'Asr prayer, that is, around 4:00 or 4:30. Then we were in the car and found it inside 'Arafah, close to the bridge and at the front of the cars. Perhaps the driver intended that. Now that most of those pilgrims have passed away, we ask Allah for mercy and forgiveness for them. What is obligatory upon us, and is our Hajj valid?
A: As long as you entered 'Arafah after 'Asr and waited there until the sun set, your Hajj is complete, and you owe nothing because of your staying under the bridge of 'Aranah before 'Asr. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only entered 'Arafah after he prayed Dhuhr and 'Asr at Namirah , combining them by advancing the later prayer. The time for standing at 'Arafah extends from the dawn of the ninth day
to the dawn of the Day of Sacrifice.
