Reciting the Qur'an at his desk and prostrating on it when he reaches a place of prostration

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 19248 )
Q 1: I always recite the Qur'an at my desk, and when I reach a place of prostration, I prostrate on it . Is that valid, or should I go down to the ground?
A 1: Prostration is performed by placing the forehead on the ground or on a mat or the like placed upon it, whether it is the prostration of recitation or any other. Prostration by nodding is not sufficient except for one who is unable to prostrate on the ground. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
