Leaving out a takbir during the funeral prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I am informing you that I prayed over a funeral two days ago, and after
The third takbir: I stood up for the supplication, and after finishing the supplication, it became unclear to me whether the taslim comes after the supplication or after the takbir. So I performed the taslim immediately after the supplication, thinking that this was its place, and this was a mistake. I know that there were many people in the congregation in the mosque, and none of them mentioned it to me. We remembered it after the funeral had been lifted. Before the prayer, I knew with certainty that the prayer consists of four takbirs, and this is not the first time we have prayed over a funeral. However, due to my confusion and forgetting its place, I returned to the books of the scholars and found that some said it is a sunnah, some said it is a pillar, and some said it is obligatory, and that it is dropped due to forgetfulness. I did not forget it in the sense of a lapse, but I forgot its place, so I said the taslim thinking it was after the supplication, and I was wrong in that. The question: 1- What is the ruling on this prayer from which the last takbir was omitted due to my wrong ijtihad and my forgetting that the taslim is after the fourth takbir? I knew before the prayer that the taslim is after the fourth takbir, but after the supplication, I became confused and forgot its place, and I was in a state of agitation about whether it was after the takbir or after the supplication, so I made a mistake and said the taslim after the supplication. Does this fall under the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
Allah has forgiven my nation for mistakes and forgetfulnessرفع عن أمتي الخطأ والنسيان
Sunan Ibn Majah 2045Sahih (Darussalam)
? 2- Do we bear any sin for this regarding the funeral and the praying people? I know that since then I have been worried and have not tasted comfort from this prayer, if
If the burial of the deceased and the prayer are not valid. 3- Some of the praying people completed the four takbirs and said the taslim. Is that sufficient since it is a collective obligation, or is it possible for me to go and pray over him after the burial?

A: The takbirs of the funeral prayer are four takbirs, as narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) informed his companions about the death of An-Najashi and then he went ahead (to lead the prayer) and the people lined up behind him in rows and he said four Takbir.أن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - نعى النجاشي إلى أصحابه ، ثم تقدم فصفوا خلفه فكبر أربعًا
Sahih al-Bukhari 1318
. And the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both):
That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came upon a grave, lined them up, and said the takbir four timesأن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - أتى على قبر فصفهم وكبر أربعًا
. They are agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim, and they are the consensus of the scholars. If one leaves out a takbir from these takbirs intentionally, and he is not the one who joined late, his prayer is invalid. If he left it out due to forgetfulness, he completes it provided the interval is not long. If the interval is long, or if he finds something that contradicts the prayer, such as speaking for a purpose other than the interest of the prayer, the prayer is not valid. As for the case of the questioner, if some of the praying people separated from the imam and did not follow him in the omission—as is obligatory—and completed the takbirs, then his prayer
is valid, and the collective obligation of praying over the funeral is fulfilled by it.
